What's Your Gift?

We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully." Romans 12: 6-8

Do you know what your gift is? This passage of scripture lays out quite a list. You may look at this list and have no idea where your gift is. You may look at this list and see that you have multiple gifts. You may see that you have one gift.

Feeling uncertain about the gift God has given you does not facilitate peace. God has designed each of us with gifted abilities that He gave specifically to us. If you don't know what your gift is ask God and He will let you know.

Can you imagine the radical changes in the Christian community if each Christian started operating in the gift God designed them to use? Wow! What a impact that would have on the world! The gifts from God are given for a purpose: to spread the gospel and give everyone an opportunity to know Christ! Let's get proactive and start operating in our gifts and watch the changes begin to happen all around us.
